Learn a practical set of mind-body skills to navigate daily challenges or life’s harshest moments. This workshop is appropriate for EVERY BODY and no prior experience is necessary. We begin with a supported deep stretching practice to promote ease in the body. A Yoga Nidra overview and guided meditation will follow. Opportunities for questions and insights will be provided at the conclusion of the practice.
You will practice:
-Effective positioning and support of the body to optimize muscle and connective tissue release.
-Gentle waking of chronically tight areas of the body through supported deep stretching.
-Mindful observation of habits and tendencies in the body for inner awareness, healing, integration and deep relaxation.
Benefits:
-Encourages the release of tension and anxiety.
-Creates a sense of ease in the body and mind. -Promotes strengthening of the immune system.
This workshop is great for everyone - especially those that are looking to reduce stress or heal from physical injury/surgery. This practice is typically completed on the mat, however, a chair can be provided if requested. Props are provided and you may bring your own pillow or blanket.
